As per Sahil, these are tips for healthy and glowing skin that one should consistently apply to get the best results. Here are the skin care secrets by Sahil Narang:

1. Consume vitamin C 

Available in the form of tablets at pharmacies and cosmetics stores easily, vitamin c is an elixir for your skin. It helps reduce the signs of ageing as it helps in the natural collagen synthesis of the skin. It also helps in healing the damaged skin and reduces the appearance of wrinkles. It also prevents dry skin if supplemented properly. You can choose to take it naturally by eating vitamin c-rich food like lemon etc. Or you can buy vitamin c capsules or serum and apply them directly to your skin. The choice is yours. 

2. Eat green vegetables

The best way to get healthy skin is to focus on your nutrition. Green leafy vegetables ensure beautiful skin and hair. Green Vegetables such as spinach and kale are rich in calcium and ensure strong teeth and bones. The greens are also rich in antioxidants such as vitamin c, lutein, and zeaxanthin and give your skin an internal glow. 

3. Use glutathione 

Glutathione is a super antioxidant. It not only decreases the melanin (pigmentation) in your skin but also has been found to decrease wrinkles and increase skin elasticity. 4. Use Yoghurt and turmeric face mask on the skin

When applied regularly, it clears the skin, removes acne, and makes it more healthy. 5. Drink plenty of water

6. Use sunscreen

In its most crucial role, sunscreen protects your skin from the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays, which come in two forms – UVA and UVB rays. It protects your skin against sunburn and reduces the appearance of sun damage – discolourations and dark spots, sagging or leathery skin, and wrinkles. Wear your sunscreen 2 hours before you step out in the sun. Reapply every two hours in case of prolonged sun exposure. Assess if your skin is oily, dry or a combination skin type and choose your sunscreen accordingly. Also, choose SFP 30, 40, 50 based on your level of sun exposure.

Sleep and rest well if you want glowing and healthy skin 

A good night’s sleep can mean good skin health because when you are re sleep-deprived, your body makes more of the stress hormone cortisol. Elevated levels of cortisol can lead to increased stress and inflammation in the body, hurting the quality of your skin. On contrary, a good night’s sleep clears up the skin. 

Take care of your mental health

Mental health plays a key role in determining the health of your skin. In fact, there is an intimate relationship between your mental and skin health. Therefore, sound mental health results in smooth and healthy skin and vice versa.
